The Flight of the Silk Worm

In this ephemeral art installation, paintings inspired by the Saône and the Rhône rivers meet and mingle for the very first time

By highlighting the beauty of Lyon’s landscape, the exhibition invites the viewer to contemplate the subtle, shifting reflections of its waters and to drift into a world of dreams.

Suspended and diaphanous, these paintings stir with the slightest breath of air. As fragile as butterfly wings, they seem poised to vanish.
They invite and guide the visitors from the entrance up to the stairs of the 19th century palace.

The silk crêpeline panels are painted in a single, fluid gesture with natural pigments that evoke the spirit of Lyon.

Floating in the palace, the installation confronts the solidity of stones with the impermanence of life
